Press release: February 4, 2021 – Bergen, Norway:
GB News released their press release today announcing their launch of Britain’s most advanced newsroom, with Mediability as the selected system integrator.
From the GB News press release:
Mediability will deliver one of the most modern newsroom systems in the world with DiNA, a tool that allows journalists to broadcast on several platforms at once while automating aspects of story production that normally require whole teams.
GB News Chief Operating Officer Marc Schipper said DiNA, a first for Britain, was a “game changer” for the future of broadcast news production.

The primary solutions will be the cloud newsroom system DiNA from 7Mountains, integrated with media management system Mimir from Mjoll, and an array of live production systems including studio automation and graphics from Vizrt. Mimir will be used in an integrated PAM workflow with Adobe Premiere Pro. All IP infrastructure will be based fully on NDI.
Knut A. Andersen, CCO in Fonn Group, says:
“We are of course very proud to play a key role in the birth of a 24/7 news channel in the UK market. Conceptually, we believe GB News will set a new global course on operating models for news channels.”
Daniel Nergard, President of Vizrt, adds:
«It is thrilling to see our solutions at the heart of a brand new 24/7 live news operation. This is especially true in a venture so clearly geared towards the future in terms of both software defined workflows and NDI infrastructure.»
In addition to the design and implementation, Mediability will deliver training for the GB News HQ staff.
