everviz becomes Teikna as former NRK graphics tech lead Christian Gogstad Eide joins as Chief Technology Officer
Bergen, Norway – 11 September 2026: Fonn Group has acquired the remaining shares in everviz, taking full ownership of the cloud-native platform for interactive charts, maps, and data-driven graphics.
With the acquisition complete, Fonn Group will bring everviz forward as Teikna, its graphics platform for broadcast, streaming, and digital media.
Teikna carries forward everviz's technology and expertise, including its foundation in open web standards and APIs, and combines them with Fonn Group's experience in cloud production workflows.
Existing everviz charting and mapping capabilities will continue uninterrupted for current customers. As Teikna develops, Fonn Group plans close integrations with Saga, its story-centric newsroom system, and Mimir, its cloud-based media collaboration and production platform.
“everviz has built deep expertise in charts, maps, and data visualization. With Teikna, that expertise gets a bigger canvas. We have clear ideas about where graphics workflows are heading, and we would rather show than tell. IBC is where we will start,” says Haavard Myklebust, CEO of Fonn Group.
Fonn Group will show a technology preview of Teikna at IBC 2026, in Hall 7 stand A53.
To lead Teikna, Fonn Group has appointed Christian Gogstad Eide as Chief Technology Officer. Eide will work directly with Myklebust and Fonn Group’s product teams to shape the platform’s technical direction.
Eide spent nearly 15 years at Norwegian public broadcaster NRK, working at the intersection of web technology and live broadcast production. An award-winning developer, he co-created Nora, NRK’s HTML-based graphics solution, and has worked across national elections, major sports events, and entertainment productions.
“Graphics are no longer created by one type of person, in one tool, or for one screen. That is exactly what drew me to Teikna. It is an opportunity to build on everviz’s strengths and apply them to a much broader range of graphics workflows,” says Christian Gogstad Eide, CTO of Teikna.
